Simple if conditional for multiple segment_1

I know this is pretty basic but for the life of me I can not get this to work correctly.

  {{ if segment_1 == "kayaking" or "rafting" or "stand-up-paddleboarding" or "rivers" }}
     content specific here
  {{  endif }}
