"Global Variables" for Unique Content Blocks

Seth Giammanco September 10, 2014 by Seth Giammanco

I would like to see a "global variable" type approach for addressing unique content on the site that does not fit a page or entry model. The current approach we are taking is to create a "Globals" page with a unique fieldset and section to organize them to "house" these page, but is something that requires a degree of unique training and thinking for clients to "get" what this "page" is especially in the context of other page and section content that have a more expected contextual understanding to them.

Want to be able to use all field types and organize in groups/sections.

Examples Unique Content that does not fit other fields:

  • Tagline
  • House Ads
  • Site Wide Meta Data
