Double slash in `imagegenerator` cache?

Hello Statamic friends :)

Anyone seen this before? The system isn't generating images (at all -- in cp or with template tags).

I've dug through the forums, checked permissions, double and tripple checked container, fieldset and system paths, ids, ete but still no images.

Seems like a folder creation issue?

dev.ERROR: ErrorException:
file_put_contents(/var/www/public_html/local/storage/framework/cache/imagegenerator//a9/c8/a9c857a8d9c8a37441c29e98b383220c): failed to open stream: No such file or directory
