Yosemite vhost 403 permission errors -- solved!

David G. Smith October 18, 2014 by David G. Smith

Kind of a tangential issue, but maybe this will save you some time?

Say you've upgraded to the new shiny, Yosemite, and sorted out all the Apache issues to get localhost up and running.

Say you've also previously been serving yourself local Statamic development sites using Apache's virtual hosts feature--e.g., to view sites under your ~/Sites folder using http://yadda-yadda.dev--and maybe you're now baffled as to why you're getting 403 errors that say you don't have permission to access /.

What to do?
