(Should I be) creating a collection with tags?

Aames Bell October 7, 2020 by Aames Bell

<div class="{{ tag1 }} {{ tag2 }} {{ tag3 }}"><h2>{{ content-field-1 }}</h2><h3>{{ content-field-2 }},{{ content-field-3 }} {{ content-field-4 }}</h3></div>‌

I'm trying to figure out how to achieve the above. Let's say it's a book list, with things like a title, an author and a date of publication. Then some additional classifying info that would be used to filter the books with common "classes".

I'm thinking at this point that I would create a "collection". Then a "blueprint" with each of the content-fields 1-4. Then, and this is where I get hazy, a taxonomy with three or four dropdowns (is this possible?) of selectable options (being the "tags") associated with each particular entry.

Am I on the right track here? Is there a different/better way to do this?
