@svg blade directive stopped working

The @svg directive for blade templates (the one that statamic itself uses for the control panel templates) stopped working for me. The login page for the control panel now looks like this. As you can see in the screenshot, I have changed the background of the login template but otherwise left it as-is.

The rendered blade template php file (the one saved in storage/framework/views/5ee10825e80678ff29df160b646084d452052164.php) contains this:

<?php $__env->startSection('content'); ?>
    <div class="logo pt-7">

// ...More code...

I also found the same kind of "rendered" directive in other templates. I'm not quite sure where to look for fixing this?

I don't use any blade in my site, it's just a bit annoying to have that text at random places in the control panel.
