I am a total Statamic newbie, but I've got the demo site up and running and am starting to learn the wonders of Statamic!
Right now, I am exploring the possibility of using Statamic for various courses that I teach. I've used WordPress, Concrete5, and Moodle in the past and I can see some clear advantages with a no DB approach.
One of the key pages would be a collection of articles/videos/podcasts. It would be important that this list would be easily updated, so I am thinking I could model it after the included Blog page with multiple entries. Hopefully I could change the fields used within each post to something like date, short textual description, article link, and perhaps a preview thumbnail. Ideally I'd like to have the ability for registered users to add blog entries, and have the ability to upvote/downvote content using a third-party service (i.e. http://rating-widget.com/).
Could anyone with more experience let me know if the above would be possible/feasible with Statamic?
Thanks very much, Paul
