September, 2022

Happy September! Kids are back in school, sports are back on the schedule, and the days are getting shorter. At least here in the Northern Hemisphere.

We've been quite busy since we last met in your inbox – we have some big updates to share with you!

The Eloquent Driver

The Eloquent Driver has been tagged as 1.0 — huge thanks to Ryan Mitchell, Frederik Sauer, Oliver Kaufmann, and all other contributors. This driver lets you use a database right out of the box for basically everything:

  • Taxonomies
  • Navigations
  • Globals
  • Collections
  • Form Submissions
  • Assets
  • Blueprints
  • Fieldsets
  • Revisions

Other recent highlights

  • The Asset Fieldtype got some UI/UX love – you can now see and set alt tags easier, image ratios are respected better, and little fine details have been tightened.
  • Shipped a new Newsletter Archive. 📰
  • The Statamic docs are now available on Raycast, thanks to Andre Breia ☀️
  • Jack Sleight added support for downloading multiple assets as a zip in the control panel 📦
  • Arthur Perton have Static caching invalidation some much deserved attention 🐛
  • Ryan Mitchell added new User Roles and User Groups tags ✨
  • Duncan McClean released a Github Action to automatically format/lint Antlers templates 🦌
