Updating Add-Ons

Even easier than installing add-ons.

You should find that updating an add-on is a simple process. What follows is how most add-on updates will work, but always consult the add-on’s documentation for any specifics.

Install the Update

Grab the named folder in the updated add-on’s _add-ons folder and drag it into your site’s _add-ons folder. You’ll probably be alerted that that folder already exists, and will be asked what to do. Replace it, and you’re done.

Check for Configuration Updates

If the add-on has a configuration file, double-check to make sure there aren’t any new settings that you should add to your copy. Not updating your settings shouldn’t break your add-on, but again, read the documentation.
