Theme Configuration

Create and configure theme-specific settings.

Theme configuration files are a place to put theme-specific settings. A theme’s configuration file will be called theme.yaml, and will be found in the theme’s root folder.

Letting you keep a configuration file in with your theme makes themes more portable for sharing and selling to others. If you have some specific options baked into your theme’s templates, you can include those settings in this file rather than having someone make their own within the _config directory.

Theme configuration files are processed after your site settings, global variables, and environments, which means that within a theme you can override just about any setting. We recommend that you only store settings in this file that are absolutely tied to one specific theme.
