Statamic At Scale with TV2 π
A couple of weeks ago TV2, a Danish public broadcaster, launched their first of seven sites they're working on migrating this year. TV SYD, a regional branch of TV2, launched their news site tvsyd.dk with some impressive performance results.
First Day Stats:
- Total Requests: ~5.4 million
- Traffic: 500GB
- Unique Visitors: 194k
- Pageviews: 343k
In terms of how they're using Statamic, it's pretty vanilla. In a good way! They employ Antlers, Alpine.js, Tailwinds CSS, and ~30 custom addons. Lots of them are even available on our Marketplace while some remain private. They have a super fancy and complex infrastructure setup at their scale using a Kubernetes cluster. We all know how to pronounce Kubernetes, right?
Here's a quote from Sylvester Damgaard, Systems Architect at TV2:
This successful launch gives us great confidence as we proceed with migrating the remaining six sites to Statamic. Stay tuned for more updates and insights!
We're looking forward to their upcoming sites and are proud to have another partner at a scale like this next to Spiegel.
Laracon US & Laravel Live Denmark ποΈ
Both Jack and Joshua from the Core Team are going to speak at conferences later this month. Jack does a design-oriented talk at Laracon US in Dallas and Joshua one on Statamic at Laravel Live in Denmark.
While Laracon US is sold out there are still a few last minute tickets left for Laravel Live in Copenhagen.
Also stay tuned for news on Statamic meetups at those two conferences! Visit our events page and join our Discord server to be kept in the loop. Laracon US will also be a rad opportunity to hang out and grab a drink with most of the Core Team.
