~ The September Newsletter 🌻 ~
Hey friends!
We've made it to September already and summer is coming to an end (in the Northern Hemisphere at least). That doesn't stop us from working hard on Statamic 6, sweating the details, and getting everything dialed in for the upcoming lauch!
So buckle in and get your dose of the latest content from the Stataverse.
Statamic 6 Alpha Available 🧪

|
|
Three weeks ago, we launched the first alpha of Statamic 6, the best version of Statamic we've ever created, in a stunning new design (read it with a Tim Apple Cook voice). There are so many new things to it, listing them all here would most likely fill up your inbox' storage limits.
But here are a few things you can look forward to:
- Redesigned Control Panel with a fresh UI and even better UX
- Built-in two-factor authentication
- Section-Aware Breadcrumbs so good Hansel and Gretel would be jealous of
- A brand new Command Palette (think Raycast, Alfred, or macOS' spotlight)
- Vue 3
- Kitt, a reusable UI compontent library for you to use on the backend OR frontend
For more, head to our blog and read our sneak peek article on Statamic 6.
Want to dive right in? Head over to our new docs (temporarily) at v6.statamic.dev and have a look at the alpha releases on GitHub.

“Been testing out @statamic.com Alpha tonight. New Statamic CP = 👌👌👌👌👌 Who doesn’t love this?!“
“And with today done, all of my @statamic.com addons (there's 14 of them!) are ready for Statamic 6.“
“Isn't Logger for @statamic.com looking incredibly handsome in Statamic 6 using its new UI components?“
“Excited to be speaking at the Dutch Statamic Meetup on 10th October! See you there! 🇳🇱“
“The first person to design a Windows 98 theme for the Control Panel gets a free Runway license! 💾“
“Exciting that @statamic.com 6 is in public alpha - meaning addon developers (like me) can ensure addons are running smoothly. Keep reading for an update on all of Mity Digital's addons:“
“A massive migration for a new @statamic.com site today. 9GB of assets. 56,000 entries. Of course I’ve written a script to help with this. I knew it’d take a while… but also my to-do list for the day is just this: and, well, it’s doing its thing on its own.“
“Is it just me, or does @laravel.com get more satisfying by the day? @statamic.com, @filamentphp.com, Livewire, @vuejs.org, @react.dev… the toolbox is amazing“
“Hanging out with my @statamic peeps in Denver after Laracon and learn that Derek Trucks is playing at Red Rocks tomorrow. I naturally move my flight out and grab a ticket on StubHub. How could I pass up a great band at one of the best outdoor concert venues in North America?“

Statamic is very nice. Once you have the site built/set up, has one of the best UX out there.
[Been using] Statamic these days, it’s amazing. Came from WordPress and haven’t looked back.
As I was saying in my previous post, I switched to Statamic, and since then, I've rediscovered what I really enjoy about web development:
- a smooth developer experience
- a solid foundation built on Laravel
- a real pleasure in coding
No more need to work around technical constraints that are sometimes outdated. I'm working with a modern tool, designed for developers... and it changes everything.
No more database!
Statamic is a flat-file CMS, so I only have files, versioned with Git. No need to worry about migrations or hasty dumps. I push, and it's live. Simple.
Open Source
The core of Statamic is Open Source, and that's really cool ;)
A secure environment by default
No database, no SQL vulnerabilities. Less attack surface, fewer critical dependencies.
Smooth deployment
A 'git push' and it's in production. No FTP, no database to export.
