At this point you'd think we'd play it cool. Maybe a casual nod, a humble "aw shucks." But no — we're going to be annoyingly proud about this every single time, because every single time it means our community showed up and voted their hearts out. And that never gets old.

What Even Is This Award?

The CMS Critic Awards are an annual community-voted program now — apparently — in its 14th year. Thousands of people nominate and vote across categories like Best Enterprise CMS, Best Open Source CMS, Best Headless CMS, and — the one we have a pretty solid corner on — Best Flat File CMS.

It's not a panel of judges in a boardroom. It's people who actually use these tools, casting votes for the ones they believe in. That's the part that gets us.

Why We Keep Winning

We could give you the feature list — the giant pile of powerful fieldtypes, the raw power of Antlers, the Git-native workflow, the beautiful Control Panel that makes you forget you're using a CMS. And those things matter.

But honestly? We think we keep winning because Statamic feels different. It's a CMS built by people who care about the experience of building websites — not just the end result. Every decision, from the way you drag and drop pages to build navigations to the way the asset editor lets you set focal points and crop images, is made by a small team that uses this thing every day and refuses to ship anything they wouldn't want to use themselves.

We believe that philosophy shows up in the product. And apparently, people notice.
